OurTibia

New player guide

Welcome to OurTibia! The world is the classic Tibia map you know, but characters work a bit differently. Read these few steps before you start - especially if you play a sorcerer or druid.

Every character starts with 0 mana and magic level 0

This is not a bug. On OurTibia mana does not grow with your level - it comes from the Willpower attribute (and later from items, talents and outfits). A new character is level 1 and has no stat points yet, so a fresh mage cannot cast spells or shoot the wand (a wand shot costs 2 mana).

What to do: kill a rat or two with your fists or your weapon - one rat is enough for level 2. Then open the Skills window (Alt+S), switch to the Attributes tab and click + next to Willpower. Every level gives 10 points.

Stat points - how your character grows

Every level after the first gives 10 stat points. You spend them yourself in Skills (Alt+S) → Attributes. Health and mana per level come from these points, so plan them for your vocation.

AttributeWhat it gives
StrengthPhysical damage (+0.085% per point), a little armor and a higher minimum hit.
DexterityAttack speed, ignores part of the enemy armor and physical resistance.
IntelligenceMagic damage, healing power, elemental penetration and stronger mana potions.
ConstitutionMax health: sorcerer 0.5, druid 0.65, paladin 1, knight 1.7 per point.
WillpowerMax mana: sorcerer 4, druid 3.5, paladin 1.5, knight 1 per point. Also mana regeneration.
LuckCritical hit chance and a better chance for loot.

Simple start: mages - put most points into Willpower and Intelligence, some into Constitution. Knights - Constitution and Strength, plus at least 20 Willpower (1 Willpower = 1 mana for a knight) so you have the mana to train magic level and cast your first spells. Paladins - Dexterity, Constitution and some Willpower for spells.

First steps

  • You start in the temple with basic equipment for your vocation, a rope, a shovel and a potion. New characters start without gold.
  • Hunt rats, bugs, wolves and trolls near the town for the first levels. Experience is 20x at low levels, skills 20x, magic level 10x, loot 4x.
  • Every town has a Trainers portal next to the temple - your own private training island with a dummy.
  • There is a crafting station at every depot and a reward chest for the world boss in every town.
  • Open the Game Wiki button in the client - it explains every system, with items, loot, monsters and maps.

Level 20 - promotion and talent trees

About the experience rate: On the Global release experience will use stages from x2 down to x1, and from level 220 slowly down to x0.5 at level 300. The beta rates are this high only so everyone can quickly test the mechanics of the server.

At level 20 you get a beta reward of 3 crystal coins (once per character) and you can buy your promotion (King Tibianus in Thais and other promotion NPCs). The promotion unlocks your Talent Trees (Ctrl+I): three trees per vocation, 1 point at level 20 and 1 more every 10 levels.
